some photos above from last weekend’s “spring fest”: a 20C day that was spent taking strolls around the neighborhood, eating ice cream (and a delicious breakfast of apple oatmeal, as you can see above), and loving life. there is something about the first couple warm days of the year that really instills that life loving feeling in you.

this week has generally been really exciting and busy. i bought my wedding dress on monday evening, and the entire dress process was so ridiculously painless that i thought i might be doing it wrong. many ladies go to bridal gown salons with all their best friends so they can help them decide (i guess). this is how my process went:

1) "hmm, i should look into buying a wedding dress soon.“

2) visit the website of one of my favorite dress shops.

3)literally three minutes later… "this one is PERFECT”

4) realize they ship free internationally.

5) gush to mom, maid of honor, and a couple other friends.

6) DONE: celebrate!

i think i’m definitely a contender for world’s most laid-back bride. and because the wedding is not for over fourteen months, i may very well also be the best “plan it in advance” bride.

other significant things from this week: booked an engagement shoot with an english speaking czech photographer for this spring! actually signed up for german courses at my language school– time to stop sitting around wishing and start doing something! finishing tax forms (booooring). being so tired i started doing a full face of “going out” make-up without realizing it… just for a normal morning lesson (at least i looked fancy that day). planning an easter weekend czech getaway (but where?). and getting ready for my dad’s second visit to the czech republic and first visit to our little home in české budějovice! this time he’s coming with his wife and spending the whole weekend. it’s gonna be good!

one last thing: you can find me on a girl and her travels this week talking all about my big transition from life in the states to moving abroad and what i would’ve done differently… check it out!
